Renovated A.C Hall at the Sood Bhawan.

**

Sood Sabha Chandigarh took a historic decision in its meeting held on 4.1.1981 to construct SOOD BHAWAN at Chandigarh and  to approach Chandigarh Administration for allotment of land for this purpose. Obviously there was some initial apprehension if Sabha will have enough finances for this project. The matter continued to be debated and simultaneously efforts were made to collect funds. The Sabha got a moral boost when Dr. Kirpa Ram Sood of Shimla offered a donation of Rs. 50,000/- for this noble cause. Ultimately on 27.12.1983 Sabha  submitted an application for this purpose. The matter was vigorously pursued by Sh. Harish Sood, the dynamic General Secretary at different levels and ultimately Chandigarh Administration vide Memo No. 12462/RCE-558/M/G.III dated 17.6..1986 allotted a piece of land measuring 4 Kanal i.e. 2021 Sq.Yds.( 193.6 x 94 ft. i.e. 18189 Sq. Ft. ) in Sector 44-A, Chandigarh for construction of Sood Bhawan/Dharamshala.
